Princess Eugenie is following suit with other members of the royal family and doing what she can to help those affected by the global pandemic.
The princess took to Instagram yesterday to share photos from her recent experience volunteering with the Salvation Army, helping to prepare food packages for those in need amid the ongoing coronavirus crisis.
“Since 1865 the Salvation Army has been there with open doors to help so many people. In the past few years I have witnessed first hand their dedication and hard work, so when they invited Jack and I to their newly created hub to pack boxes, we jumped at the chance,” wrote Eugenie.
In the shared images, Eugenie and Jack can been seen donning matching neon-yellow Salvation Army vests while working alongside other volunteers to prepare packs of food.
“As a group of volunteers we helped pack trolleys of food that are then taken and distributed to the Army’s hugely important and much needed food banks that feed thousands across the UK,” continued the princess. “Their message is key – their doors are open, always have been and always will be.”
Eugenie isn’t the only royal family member doing one’s part amid the coronavirus crisis, however. Prince William and Duchess Kate have helped launch a new mental health initiative for COVID-19 first responders called Our Frontline, while across the pond, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan have helped deliver food to immunocompromised individuals in Los Angeles.
