Prince Harry to throw first pitch at London Series MLB game

Get Prince Harry some peanuts and Cracker Jacks because he’s heading out to the ball game!

The Duke of Sussex is taking a break from daddy duty for the night to throw out the first pitch at the opening game of the Major League Baseball London Series at the city’s former Olympic stadium on June 29. 

For the first time, MLB will be hosting two regular season games in Europe, featuring two of the league’s most famous teams: the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees.

The Invictus Games Foundation, Harry’s organization which oversees the development of Invictus Games, a Paralympic-style game for wounded warriors, has been selected as the official charity partner for the 2019 series.

The evening will be begin with the Duke meeting with each team in their clubhouses before attending a short reception with former Invictus Games competitors and their family and friends, according to a Royal Communications press release.

After the reception Harry will accompany Invictus Games competitors as they head to the field to throw out the first pitch before watching the game.
