Post Malone is supporting all the artists who have pulled their collaborations with R. Kelly from streaming services.
“He’s done a lot of fucked-up sh*t, obviously,” Malone said, according to TMZ, who caught the rapper leaving The Grove in L.A. on Monday night with his lady friend.
It seems that Malone is not with French Montana and DJ Paul, both of whom said R. Kelly’s musical legacy will live on despite sexual abuse allegations.
Lady Gaga, Celine Dion, The Pussycat Dolls, Chance the Rapper and Ciara have all either pulled their R. Kelly-featured tracks or are in the middle of doing so.
Since the finale episode of Lifetime’s Surviving R. Kelly docu-series, several celebrities have openly expressed their thoughts against the star. The series exposed sexual allegations against R. Kelly by a number of women, many of whom were underage.
Common said that Black people “failed as a community,” while Kelly’s contemporary Omarion announced he would no longer perform any songs written by R. Kelly following B2K’s reunion tour. Daymon John said the music maker should kill himself, while Chance The Rapper said he regrets his collaboration with Kelly.
Meanwhile, R. Kelly has consistently denied any allegations of abuse or misconduct.
