Billy Porter is known for pushing boundaries on the red carpet, and he certainly didn’t disappoint at this year’s Oscars .
The Pose star turned heads in a stunning black velvet full-skirted tux-gown by Christian Siriano.
While most people loved the look and it featured on many Best Dressed lists, there was one person who wasn’t a fan – Piers Morgan.
The controversial presenter took to Twitter to mock the outfit, labelling it "absolutely ridiculous".
He wrote: "Am I allowed to say this looks absolutely ridiculous?"
But many people didn’t agree and loved Billy’s outfit choice.
One wrote: "Are you really so threatened by a handsome man in an impeccably tailored outfit that happens to involve a skirt?"
Another added: "Being that you know nothing about fashion, sure. But you’re wrong."
Others agreed with Piers, and were quick to share their views on the look.
One man wrote: "One doesn’t have to know fashion to be able to see how terrible that looks."
Another replied: "He’s not wrong though. He looks dreadful."
Some people had other questions about the look.
One asked: "I just want to know how it fits into the seat."
Billy’s black dress wasn’t the only outfit Piers took issue with, and he also took a swipe at Linda Cardellini’s bright pink dress.
She wore a frilled fuchsia pink number with a mullet hemline that was cropped short at the front and flowed into a long train at the back.
The dress made the Mirror’s worst dress list from last night’s event.
The 43-year-old Bloodline star teamed the frilly look with black heels, a baby pink bow belt and wore her hair up in a messy bun as she grinned for the cameras.
Piers shared a photo of the dress with the caption: "Bird apocalypse."
