Pete Davidson had no patience for the heckler who dared to joke about Mac Miller’s death during his recent stand up show.
According to audio obtained by TMZ, the Saturday Night Live star was performing at the South Orange Performing Arts Center in New Jersey on Monday night when he started the setup for a joke, saying how his “friend died in apartment.” That’s when some idiot in the audience thought it would be appropriate to yell out the name of Pete’s ex’s ex who died of a drug overdose last year.
After the assh*ole shouted “Mac Miller?”, the 25-year-old tactfully stopped the show and told the crowd to point out the “f**kface” so security could kick him out. Pete insisted he would walk off the stage unless the heckler was tossed and got his money back, because the comedian didn’t want it.
“I’ll just leave right now.”
Once the crowd helped identify the unfunny audience member, he was removed from the venue.
As you know, Mac previously dated Ariana Grande before she moved on and later got engaged to Pete. Ariana’s grief over the rapper’s death in September was seemingly one of the biggest reasons why she and Pete broke things off.
The Set it Up actor quickly shook off the moment once the heckler was gone, expertly reeling the crowd back in with a Dane Cook joke. Head over to TMZ to hear the audio of the awkward moment.
