Paul McCartney has confirmed plans for a brief tour of the United States in 2019. The trek will kick off on May 27 in Raleigh, North Carolina and will conclude on June 11 in Moline, Illinois.
McCartney also made headlines earlier this week, when he entered the top 10 of Billboard‘s Adult Alternative Songs airplay chart thanks to “Come On to Me,” the lead single from his upcoming 17th solo studio album Egypt Station.
It’s the first time in over two decades the former Beatle has hit the top ten. In 1997, “The World Tonight,” from 1997’s Flaming Pie, peaked at No. 9 on the Adult Alternative Songs chart dated June 21, 1997.
“Come On to Me” is now McCartney’s highest-charting song on the tally, eclipsing “Tonight” and its No. 9 peak. McCartney has, however, appeared on the chart (which began in 1996) multiple times since then, led by “Ever Present Past” at No. 16 in June 2007.
Egypt Central will be released on September 7 via Capitol Records.
