Paul Chuckle paid tribute to his brother Barry as he watched their favourite football team this afternoon.
Rotherham United played Ipswich Town at the New York Stadium in South Yorkshire today and the home team did their best to make it a special occasion for grieving Paul.
Before kick-off a minute’s applause was held to remember Barry – a lifelong supporter of the team.
The star – who died after a year-long battle with cancer on August 5 aged 73 – was named an honorary vice president of the club in 2007.
Impassioned rounds of ‘to me, to you’ echoed around the stadium in the 73rd minute – Barry’s age at the time of his passing.
And when Michael Smith scored the only goal of the match in the 90th minute for the Millers, Paul blew a kiss to the heavens for his brother.
Hundreds of fans are set to line the streets of Rotherham when Barry is laid to rest next week.
Details of the Chuckle Brothers star’s funeral have been revealed, with a public celebration of his life to be held on Friday, August 17 followed by a private funeral at Rotherham United’s New York stadium.
Those wishing to pay their respects to the beloved star are invited to gather in the streets around the ground.
The arrangements were announced by the family in a statement which also said the funeral would be a celebration of Barry’s amazing life.
They said: "As a family we would welcome fans to celebrate his life and pay their respects with us, outside of the New York stadium.
"There is an event for invited family and close friends which respectfully is private and by invite only”.
“We are overwhelmed with the love and support we have received over the last few days, and thank everyone concerned!”
