Kanye West debuted his new album to a crowd in Detroit on Friday, and if North West is any judge, the album is a banger. West’s six-year-old daughter attended rehearsals in the city on Friday, singing and dancing along to her dad’s new album. Kim Kardashian shared videos of her eldest child living her best life to Instagram.
Kardashian later showed the packed crowd in the city after West told them that they would be listening to his new album, Jesus Is King. Kardashian also revealed that the album will be officially released on Sunday.
“Kanye is doing a listening session in Chicago tomorrow, then NYC Sunday” she wrote. “He’s dropping the album Sunday. Just a few final tweaks to the mixes.”
During his show in Detroit, West also previewed a clip showing the making of his new IMAX film, Jesus Is Lord.
“I can’t wait for you guys to see this @imax film in October,” Kardashian wrote, revealing the film’s planned release.
West’s album was originally teased back in August, almost a year after he announced that he would be dropping a new album called Yahidi in September 2018, but it wouldn’t be a new Kanye West album without some delays. Kardashian has apparently assumed the role of his publicist, as she also showed off the new track list for the album on Friday, scribbled on a Marriott notepad, which revealed a new song called “New Body.” According to Pitchfork, West has spent a good chunk of time working on the track.
Fingers crossed the album actually comes out Sunday.
