Former Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason says he would like to take his new supergroup Saucerful of Secrets to the United States.
The band is set to embark on a 21-date European tour on September 2.
Mason told Billboard that depending on the response to the European tour, he may plan some dates in the United States. Mason said he was encouraged by the enthusiasm of his bandmates. “Pink Floyd was always enthusiastic, but not like this lot is now. Everyone wants to do everything: ‘We want to go to America,’ ‘We want to go to South America,’ ‘What about Peru?'”
The 74-year-old drummer says he is surprised about performing on stage once again at this age.
The band, consisting of Gary Kemp, Lee Harris, Guy Pratt and Dom Beken, was named after Pink Floyd’s 1968 album, A Saucerful of Secrets.
