Nicholas Gonzalez Joins NBC Sinkhole Drama Series ‘La Brea’

Nicholas Gonzalez is coming back to television.

Almost a year after his shocking exit from The Good Doctor, the 45-year-old actor has joined NBC’s upcoming drama series, La Brea.

The series will center on a massive sinkhole opening up in L.A., and separates a mother (Natalie Zea) and son from her husband (Eoin Macken) and daughter.

“When part of the family find themselves in an unexplainable primeval world, alongside a disparate group of strangers, they must work to survive and uncover the mystery of where they are and if there is a way back home,” the official synopsis reads.

According to TV Line, Nicholas will play the husband’s best friend Levi Brooks, an Air Force pilot who is recruited to lead the mission to save the people who fell into the sinkhole.

Nicholas isn’t the only one who has joined the series. Rohan Mirchandaney will also be part of the cast and portray tour guide Scott, who uses humor to lighten up serious situations.
