Millie Bobby Brown ‘turns down £10million paycheck to star in Stranger Things spin-off film’ as she wants to ‘branch out’
Millie Bobby Brown has reportedly turned down a £10million paycheck to star in a Stranger Things spin-off as she wants to ‘branch out’ into other roles.
The actress, 19, has played Eleven in the Netflix show since 2016, with filming beginning when she was just 11 years old.
The nature of the spin-off show is as of yet unclear, with potential plotlines remaining as a carefully-guarded mystery for now.
But it is clear that Millie will play no part as she looks to move on to other projects.
The Enola Holmes actress will be looking to ‘branch out’ into other roles and has turned down a £10million offer to star in the spin-off, according to The Sun.

Fame: The actress, now 19, plays Eleven in the hit Netflix show, with a fifth and final season airing this summer
A source told The Sun: ‘There are so many directions it could go. Nothing is off the table.
‘They think it would translate to a stage show for Broadway and the West End just like Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
‘Another spin-off series following some of the show’s main characters is also being worked up.’
MailOnline has contacted representatives of Millie Bobby Brown for comment.
Stranger Things is due to release a fifth and final season this summer, where the star will reprise her role as the telekinetic Eleven one more time.
In an interview with Seventeen magazine earlier this month, Millie revealed she’s a huge fan of the beloved HBO series The White Lotus and would be open to starring in an upcoming season.
She also credited her family and support system for being able to navigate the perils of becoming a star at such a young age.
Millie was just 9 years old when she made her acting debut in ABC’s Once Upon a Time in Wonderland, a spin-off of the beloved Once Upon a Time.

She also had guest-starring roles in shows such as NCIS, Modern Family and Grey’s Anatomy before she was cast as Eleven in Stranger Things.
After seven years and four seasons – with many delays due to COVID-19 – Millie revealed she’s ready to wrap up the series and move on with the fifth and final season, which starts filming in June.
‘I’m definitely ready to wrap up. I feel like there’s a lot of the story that’s been told now, and we know of it, it’s been in our lives for a very long time,’ she said.
‘But I’m very ready to say goodbye to this chapter of my life and open new ones up,’ she added.
‘I’m able to create stories myself that are important to me and focus on the bigger picture. But I’m really grateful (for the show),’ she added.
