AceShowbiz –Miley Cyrus has paid tribute to former “The Voice” contestant Janice Freeman following her death at the age of 33.
The singer, who was part of coach Miley’s team on season 13 of the U.S. talent show in 2017, passed away from an apparent blood clot on Saturday, March 02.
According to TMZ, she was at her home in Pasadena, California, when she first started having difficulty breathing. Her husband Dion called for emergency help and performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on her before paramedics arrived and transported her to a local hospital, where she was subsequently pronounced dead.
Janice had suffered from a series of health issues over the years, having previously survived cervical cancer, autoimmune disease lupus, and infection meningitis.
After appearing on “The Voice”, on which she made it to the final 11, she remained in touch with Miley, and the pop superstar even gave the singer and her family a little financial boost after learning they were struggling to find a place to live.
The generous “Wrecking Ball” hitmaker joined them in finding a suitable home, and then covered their security deposit, and even paid six months’ rent to help them out of a fix.
The news of her loss left Miley saddened, and she took to her Instagram Story timeline on Sunday to share a photo of a rainbow in memory of Janice.
