Meghan Markle holds smiling baby Archie alongside Prince Harry as they arrive for latest engagement in South Africa

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry stepped out with a smiling baby Archie as they arrived for tea with anti-apartheid campaigner Desmond Tutu as part of their latest royal engagement in South Africa.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex enjoyed a rare outing wth their four-month-old son, with the baby being seen for the first time during the trip.

Smiling for the cameras, the royal couple shared an adorable video with their sweet son as they were greeted by Archbishop Tutu and his daughter, Thandeka Tutu-Gxashe.

Meghan is seen carrying her son, who is giddy with excitement, while wearing a patterned black and white Club Monaco dress with pointed-toe black heels.

The stylish Duchess looked glamorous as ever as she sported the £368 dress, as she wore her long dark hair tied back neatly.

Meghan is clearly over-the-moon to have her son with her for the engagement as she smiles happily while holding his hand.

Doting dad Harry, who is seen wearing a suit and tie, also flashes a smile at his adorable son, who is seen sporting cute baby blue dungarees paired with a white long-sleeve top.

The royal couple shared the video to their popular Instagram account alongside the caption “Arch meets Archie!”

Harry and Meghan are on a 10-day visit to Africa, with Harry due to leave his wife and son later today for solo engagements in Botswana.

He will also visit Angola and Malawi over the coming days and will later be reunited next week with his wife and child in Johannesburg.

The trio arrived in Cape Town on Monday morning before they travelled to the township of Nyanga.

They were met by the sweet children as they visited The Justice Desk to see the work of the human rights organisation, who support the development of the youngsters.

The Queen's Commonwealth Trust — which Harry is president of and Meghan vice-president — support the organisation. Harry took a knee to greet the children as Meghan watched on lovingly, stood behind him.

The Duke of Sussex was pictured excitedly speaking to one of the children, his mouth wide open as he reached out to touch the young boy.

Another image sees Meghan giving the same child a huge cuddle as he wraps his arms around her neck. The young boy held a sign that read "Unite for children's rights" as he greeted the royal pair.
