The selfie showed the star lying in bed alongside the 6-month-old tot, with the duo both smiling broadly into the camera.
Captioning the picture, Matthew wrote: ‘Here’s a snap to help you smile thru the week ahead!’
The snap was soon flooded with a mass of comments from fans praising the ‘beautiful’ and ‘gorgeous’ image.
It comes as the talkRADIO host host admitted that this year’s Father’s Day will be ‘hugely emotional’ for him following the death of his own father.
Oh baby! The TV personality’s cute snap comes after he revealed in an interview that this year’s Father’s Day is set to be ‘hugely emotional’ for him (pictured in February)
He told Hello Magazine: ‘It’s hugely emotional because my dad died 22 years ago. For the first few years after he died, Father’s Day would make me feel very said because everyone was like: “I love my dad, I love my dad.’ And I would think: “I haven’t got a dad anymore”.’
After saying that Father’s Day became ‘irrelevant’ as time went on, Matthew then revealed his sheer emotion when his wife informed him that he’d be celebrating the big day.
He said: ‘I cried because I never thought I’d have anything to do with it again. I’m overjoyed that I’m a father, but it makes me doubly aware of my own father’s absence. ‘

Matthew and his wife welcomed Cassady in January, after trying for eight years and enduring six failed IVF attempts and one life-threatening ectopic pregnancy.
In February, the star revealed that he almost missed the birth of his daughter after being stuck in traffic.
Matthew said that he was ‘having kittens’, after coming off air to learn that his wife was in labour with their baby daughter on the other side of London.
After receiving a text as he finished his radio show, the star hopped in a car to make his way across London from Waterloo to Hammersmith, where Amelia was giving birth at the Queen Charlotte’s and Chelsea Hospital.
He said to Hello magazine at the time: ‘There was a taxi drivers’ strike, every road we went on was stuck and there was no more communication from her.

‘It took one hour 15 minutes to get from my offices in Waterloo to the hospital in Hammersmith, usually it would be 40 minutes, and I was having kittens.’
Amelia said: ‘My blood pressure suddenly went sky high and they said, ‘This is dangerous, it has to happen now’.
‘They said they would try and wait for Matthew to get there but otherwise they were going to have to start.
‘He needed to get there no later than when he did, or he would have missed it.’
Cassady arrived on January 25, nearly four weeks early, weighing just over 5lbs and Amelia said she keeps pinching herself and that she feels ‘like it’s a rebirth for me’.
Overjoyed: Amelia revealed: ‘I don’t think I even realised how much I’d been through until I had her, and it hit me like a tidal wave’
Meanwhile, Amelia said during an interview on Lorraine in February that the birth had hit her like a ‘tidal wave’.
She confessed to the host: ‘I don’t think I even realised how much I’d been through until I had her, and it hit me like a tidal wave. So many losses, and you finally have your baby. So many tears!’
Matthew – who was previously adamant he didn’t want children – was a changed man, looking happier than ever as he described life in the ‘blissful baby bubble’
Cooing over his little girl as Amelia held her on the sofa, he enthused: ‘Everything is such a cliche, it’s a journey, a rollercoaster so many lows and giddy highs!’
Matthew has been with his second wife Amelia, a Sony music executive, since 2007 and they have been married since 2010.
