Lucy Fallon, 23, has had major storylines in Coronation Street as Bethany Platt.
But the actress has decided to quit her role following four “incredible” years.
Speaking about her exit, Lucy said it was an “extremely difficult decision” to make.
The ITV favourite told The Sun: “After the most incredible 4 years, I have made the extremely difficult decision to leave Coronation Street at the end of my contract in 2020.

“It’s hard to put into words how much this show means to me.”
She went on: ”I’ve made lifelong friends with some of the most talented and hardworking people in the industry, I’ve had some terrific and immensely important storylines and I’ve laughed with the best people everyday.
“I’m so thankful to Iain and everyone at Coronation Street, I owe everything to them and I will miss them greatly.”
Lucy will continue playing Bethany until her contract expires in 2020.
The blonde beauty has won many awards for her role as the teenager in the ITV soap.
Last year, Lucy became victorious at the British Soap Awards as she won Best Actress for her role in Coronation Street.
The star also scooped the gong of Best Serial Drama Performance at the National Television Awards in 2018.
Away from the soap, Lucy foods her Instagram account with pictures of herself and her boyfriend, Tom Leech.
The stunner recently shared a snap of herself gazing at her beau whilst they enjoyed some quality time together.
Dressed in a patterned red skirt with a black top, Lucy appeared content as she smile away.
She captioned the loved-up photo: “We’re having such a good time and I love him but he’s not as weird as me xxx.”
One fan wrote: “Lucky bloke x.”
Another said: “Cute couple beautiful pic.”
A third added: “Awww you are adorable together how are you so pretty??????”
Coronation Street continues tomorrow on ITV at 7.30pm.
