Paige Thorne revealed that she’s returning to work as a paramedic and shut down rumours that she’s split with Adam Collard as the couple reunited in London this week.
The duo, who narrowly missed out on making the Love Island final last month, put on an united front as they headed for dinner at Mona restaurant in the capital on Thursday night before making a joint appearance on ITV’s Lorraine the following day.
During the chat, the couple insisted that they were stronger than ever as they confirmed they are officially boyfriend and girlfriend, but have yet to say ‘I love you’.

Speaking to host Ranvir Singh, Paige, 24, laughed, ‘We haven’t dropped the L bomb yet. He wants to, but you know…’ as Adam interjected ‘We’re trying to play it cool right now.’
Discussing her next step, Paige then revealed that she’s returning to her £30,000-per-year NHS role.
She explained: ‘I’ve got a meeting to go back to paramedic work as well, so that will be exciting. I actually saw an ambulance the other day with sirens on.
‘I had like serious FOMO! I was like, “Get me my ambulance back!” So I’m going to go back into that a little bit and just see what opportunities come from that.
‘It’s one of those things – I genuinely just love my job. So why wouldn’t I want to go back to it? I really enjoyed it. But I’ll do other things alongside it.’

The duo then addressed the rumours that they had split, explaining that it stemmed from the fact that Paige had returned to her hometown of Swansea and Adam to Newcastle after they left the villa, rather than stay in London together.
Adam said: ‘What it was is we’re really big on family. It’s one of the things that I like so much about her, but [turning to Paige] you wanted to go to Swansea and keep her mum happy.
‘Obviously that was my job as well, and then I wanted to go home as well. And that was it. I think it was just because we’re the only Islanders that did that and we didn’t stay in London. So now we’re good. We always knew we were.’

Paige added: ‘My mum would have been so upset if I didn’t go home and Adam would have been even more in the dog house.
On Adam winning over her mum, Paige continued: ‘Oh, 100 percent. She absolutely loves him now. It took all of two minutes when he came to Swansea and she was just obsessed as were the rest of the family.
‘So Adam came down and I was like, “I’ll throw him in the deep end, just get him to meet all of the fam, all at once”, and he just won the room over as soon as he walked in. I reckon it was the shots that did it, and dancing on the table.’

Adam also reflected on how he’s changed since his first Love Island stint in 2018.
He explained: ‘I think I was too easily influenced by other people in the villa and the cameras, I was 21/22, it was a long time ago.
‘As soon as I came into the villa I only had eyes for Paige and it was so easy we got on straight away, I always had that side to me but no one saw it.
‘I can be sensitive but it takes the right person so when I got the opportunity to do it this time it was plain sailing.’
The couple’s candid chat came after they enjoyed a date night on Thursday, where Paige looked chic in a white corset and nude flares.

Paige and Adam’s cosy night out comes after Adam responded to Jacques O’Neill’s savage dig over his relationship with the Welsh beauty.
In a recent Instagram live, rugby player Jacques made reference to Paige’s mother – who recently admitted she’s ‘not buying’ the romance – joking about Adam’s frosty introduction to her on the show.

He jibed to former castmates Luca Bish and Dami Hope, ‘Well, her mum seems to love him doesn’t she? He’s in there with the fam!’
After sarcastically mocking Adam’s romance with Paige amid her mother’s disapproval, it wasn’t long before Adam hit back with a sharp retort of his own.
Taking to Twitter on Tuesday, Adam retweeted the clip of Jacque’s comments, before sarcastically writing: ‘Humble in defeat our kid, chin up x’, referencing the fact that he won Paige’s heart following her split with Jacques.
The Meet The Parents episode saw Paige’s mum and dad enter the Majorcan villa for their happy reunion.
The awkward moment came before Adam broke down in tears in the Beach Hut speaking about his true feelings for the paramedic saying how much she had ‘changed’ him.

However, things took a turn for the worse when Paige’s mum Samantha shared her honest thoughts about Adam – not long before the two were dumped from the villa.
When the islander asked for her opinion, Samantha whispered: ‘I’m not buying it.’
She then explained to her daughter: ‘The way you was with Jacques was completely different, you were a lot of more you and bouncy and full of personality, with Adam it seems a lot more different.’
But Paige argued: ‘With Jacques, he did bring out a different side of me, bubbly and all that but there were some bits that really weren’t okay.’
‘Ummmm’, she said after an awkward pause, before Paige is heard in the Beach Hut saying: ‘My mum and her savage comments, I knew she would be… I was just like ‘Oh for God’s sake!’
