Maura caused a stir when she first entered the Majorcan villa with her racy outbursts and pursuit of Tommy Fury, with Ofcom receiving complaints about her ‘predatory’ behaviour.
But she quickly gained in popularity as she continued to speak openly about sex and ‘fanny flutters’ – a term used to describe sexual attraction resulting in a tingling sensation in your private area – despite the criticism.
‘A strong sense of confidence can often divide opinions so when I came out of the Love Island villa it was great to see women supporting me with some of the topics I had been open about,’ she said last October.

During her Love Island stint, the show was slapped with nearly 800 complaints in just two days about Maura’s ‘predatory behaviour’ towards Tommy and the treatment of Lucie.
The media watchdog said that over half of the complaints related to Maura’s actions as she attempted to plant a kiss on Tommy while lying on top of him which many viewers branded ‘desperate’ and ‘crossing a line’ on Twitter.
