Kim Kardashian's Money Outfit Has More Dollars Than My Bank Account

Kim Kardashian broke her streak of body-hugging, monochrome, Yeezy-esque outfits for a bold number literally covered in dollars last night. The reality star stepped out in a money-printed trench coat from Jeremy Scott’s Fall 2001 collection, with matching pointed-toe boots, black sunglasses, and a tiny bejeweled gold purse with a money sign.

The occasion? Celebrating a major sale by cult beauty brand Anastasia Beverly Hills.

“What do you do when your friend sells her company for a couple billion? You wear a full money fit and throw her a party,” Kim explained with a mirror selfie video in her Instagram story.

Over the summer, Anastasia Beverly Hills sold a minority stake to a private equity firm as it prepares for global distribution and increased online sales, Business of Fashion reported in June. The financial terms of the sale weren’t disclosed, but the cosmetic brand’s reported value is $3 billion, according to BoF. But did Kim spill the real details in her Insta story?

This isn’t the first time Kim has obsessed over money-inspired fashion. Last year, she was mesmerized over a crystal-embellished clutch shaped like a roll of $100 bills, which was from Alexander Wang’s collaboration with renowned handbag designer Judith Leiber.

“Oh my gosh this is a real rubber band,” Kim said in an Instagram video, fawning over the high-wattage accessory. Then she added with a gasp, “I’m in heaven.”

The bag, which features over 10,000 Swarovski crystals, retails at almost $5,000. We’re honestly surprised Kim didn’t include the piece in last night’s outfit, too.
