Kim Kardashian opted for a family Christmas photo with her husband and children because she ‘could not really agree’ with the rest of her relatives about a card.
Although the Kardashian-Jenners typically release an annual card all together, Kim, 39, decided on a more intimate West family portrait this year.
An Us Weekly insider shared: ‘Kim and the rest of the family could not really agree on a card this year and so Kim wanted to do her own.’
Nope: Kim Kardashian opted for a family Christmas photo with her husband and children because she ‘could not really agree’ with the rest of her relatives about a card
The source explained to the magazine: ‘There are so many schedules and people involved and it was constant arguing and too much stress.’
Said this insider: ‘Kim and Kayne wanted to do their own thing and have their own vibe and it did not match with the Christmas card that the whole family used to do anymore.’
Although the Kardashian-Jenner card may yet materialize ‘no one is leading it and pushing for it’ other than matriarch Kris Jenner. ‘Everyone kind of agrees, besides Kris that it is a pain to organize and plan.’
In the heart-melting new photo, Kim and her four children, North, six, Saint, four, Chicago, one, and Psalm, seven months, all wear matching grey sweatpants while nestled together on a staircase with doting dad Kanye West, 42.

‘The West Family Christmas Card,’ she captioned the photo.
The image is a departure from Kim’s famously over-the-top Christmas cards, which traditionally feature the extended family.
This time, the intimate photo was just of Kim, Kanye, and their children.

Typically, the Kardashian Christmas cards are an elaborate affair.
Since the 1990s, the family have gone all out in producing a festive photo celebrating the holidays.
Child’s play: North, Penelope, Mason, and Reign were the stars of the 2015 Christmas card
Early Christmas cards were typically playful before gradually becoming more and more glam over the years.
Initially, the family would gather together for fun motorcycle/plaid themed shoots, before going all out in suits and gowns.
2008’s red-themed shoot showed the women all wearing crimson dresses, while in 2012 the family took part in a particularly festive card in which they all wore white.

The most elaborate of all the Kardashian cards has got to be the 2013 photo shot by David LaChapelle.
In the cinematic shoot, everyone wore black while posing inside of post-apocalyptic, chaotic casino with mannequin parts strewn all over the place.
Caitlyn Jenner, then known as Bruce, was sidelined to the far right in a glass case as Kris sat nearby with her arms raised.
There was also the time Kanye hilariously drew himself into the family’s 2010 card.

Kris revealed on her now-cancelled talk show that Kanye would Photoshop himself into Christmas cards as a way of professing his love to Kim, even drawing himself into the 2010 photo with his arm around the star.
Time after time the family have always impressed fans with their shoots, yet there have been a few years they decided to skip the card altogether.
In 2014, Kim told Glamour UK they were unable to snap the card because they had ‘ran out of time.’
The family also skipped 2016 after a series of events rocked the brood, including Kim being robbed at gunpoint in Paris.

Arranging the shoot is no small feat either.
Kim has been open about just how difficult it has been for her to organize her family’s Christmas card photo shoot after volunteering to coordinate in 2017.
Organizing the shoot meant she had to work around her family’s incredibly busy schedule, and not everyone was always happy to rearrange their jam-packed days for the card.
The drama all played out on an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians last year, where Kim called Kourtney the ‘least exciting to look at’ after the latter refused to compromise on her schedule for the card.
The family ultimately decided to pull the plug on the 2018 Christmas card, but ended up pulling through with a photo of the mothers with their children.
