Kenny Chesney‘s new studio album, Songs for the Saints, debuted at No. 1 on Billboard‘s Country Albums chart.
Songs for the Saints, which is his seventeenth album, also earned the No. 2 spot on the mainstream Billboard 200 chart, led by Drake‘s Scorpion.
This is the 15th time that Chesney’s songs appear in the top 10 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, which ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S.
The album was released last month through Blue Chair/Warner Bros./Warner Music.
Chesney dedicates Songs for the Saints to the “spirit and resilience” of the people of the Virgin Islands, who were affected by last year’s Hurricane Irma.
Proceeds from the album will be spent for relief efforts in St. John and the Virgin Islands through his Chesney’s Love for Love City Foundation.
The singer’s home in St. John was destroyed by the hurricane.
