Kate Hudson says she's 'open' to having more children on Ellen

‘I don’t know if I’m done yet!’ Kate Hudson says she’s ‘open’ to having more children and reveals she smokes WEED with her famous parents

Kate Hudson has said she’s open to having more children as she appeared on this week’s The Ellen DeGeneres Show with her brother Oliver.

The actress, 40 – who shares Ryder, 16, with Chris Robinson, Bingham, eight, with Matt Bellamy and Rani, 16 months, with current beau Danny Fujikawa – admitted she’d only expand her family within a three-year window, while father-of-three Oliver, 43, completely ruled out the idea.

Touching on their relationship with their famous parents – screen star Goldie Hawn and her long-term partner Kurt Russell – the media personalities left host Ellen shocked when they revealed they’ve smoked weed together in the past during a game of Truth or Shot.

The Mother’s Day actress welcomed her first daughter in October 2018 with her partner of three years, musician Danny, 33.

On life as a parent to three young children, Kate gushed: ‘Rani is so deeply funny. I think she’s got the funny gene. If you wear any jewellery, she’ll shout ”off!” She likes the girly things but she demands it from you! It’s so great!’

The Marshall star also enthused about her doting brother, who shares sons Wilder Brooks, 12, and Bodhi Hawn, nine, and daughter Rio Laura, six, with wife Erinn Bartlett.

‘He raises children really easily. It’s his best work. He’s the best dad’, she praised, before an adamant Oliver insisted: ‘I’m done having children.’

Kate claimed she’s not ready to close the door on growing her brood as she explained: ‘I don’t know if I’m done yet!

‘Rani is at the age where I think I’d want another baby, but when she gets to four or five… I’d think my life would be kinda back, the child is in a groove. There’s a window!’

Elsewhere in the interview, the dynamic duo shared a surprising fact about their successful parents Kurt, 70, and Goldie, 74, who have been together since 1983. The siblings are currently estranged from their biological father, singer Bill Hudson.

While playing Ellen’s famous game with Kate’s new King St. vodka, the bold pair opted to spill the beans on whether they’d smoke cannabis – which is legal in Los Angeles – as a family.

‘Yes!’, the giddy blonde confessed, before Oliver added: ‘I have too!’

The TV and film stars also decided to take a trip down memory line as they reflected on throwing wild parties in the absence of their parents.

Rules of Engagement star Oliver shared: ‘I remember breaking a lamp into a million pieces… mum if you’re watching this, I’m sorry! She still thinks a dog broke it! Kate would invite the industry people and I’d invite the riff raff!’

They also recalled when a fellow thespian scaled an eight-foot gate to crash their starry bash.

The Fabletics owner said: ‘I remember I was having this party with over 400 people. I see someone scaling an eight-foot gate at my parents house and I freak out… and it’s Tom Cruise!

‘I was like ”Oh, I didn’t realise you were coming to my party!” He is Mission Impossible!’.

Things took a surprise turn when a blushing Ellen accidentally shared: ‘Don’t suck me again… I mean, don’t suck me into your story again!’

‘Ellen! You weren’t supposed to tell people that!’, Kate joked.

Kate and Oliver are currently on a promotional trail for their new podcast Sibling Revelry, where they invite celebrity relatives onto the show to discuss their relationship.

Branding their new project ‘profound’, Oliver said: ‘We’ve never done anything together creatively so this was a great chance for us to explore the sibling dynamic.

‘It’s a very important relationship which we think is under-explored. For me, it’s been the most profound thing I’ve done in my career.’
