Kate Beckinsale clapped back at a troll who questioned her taste in men.
The film star, 46, shared an Instagram video modelling googly eyes with her cat Clive on Tuesday, but her followers seemed more interested in hearing about her love life.
Shutting down the conversation, Kate – who is currently in a relationship with 23-year-old singer Goody Grace – hit back at the remarks.

As a follower asked, ‘Why do you keep dating guys that could be your children?’ Kate clapped back, ‘every relationship I have had has been solely to annoy you’.
As another one commented, ‘You need a man’, Kate quipped, ‘tell me why? To stop me sticking eyes on the cat? What if he liked eyes on the cat? What if I won’t stop? How will he help this situation’.
The Underworld star went on to target followers who asked if she was bored, responding to a follower who asked if she ‘had too much time on her hands’, by saying, ‘I’m rarely on other people’s instagrams with unoriginal comments,so, no’.

As another follower commented the same remark, she hit back, ‘if you could possibly cure Covid that would be really helpful’.
Kate’s comments come as she stays locked down at her Los Angeles home with boyfriend Goody.
Kate has been keeping herself and her followers entertained during lockdown with videos of her antics with Clive.

The couple debuted their romance during lockdown just a few months ago, and have already declared their love for one another.
The L-bombs were dropped on Instagram, after Kate wished her beau a happy birthday.
‘Happy birthday I love you,’ Kate wrote, along with a heart emojis. Goody replied, ‘I love you.’
Kate and the Scumbag hitmaker were first seen holding hands together in early April, though sources told People at the time that the two had already been together for months.
‘Kate enjoys his company. She finds him very mature, smart and creative. He entertains her with music, they cook and watch movies.
‘She thinks he is the perfect quarantine boyfriend,’ explained the insider.

Prior to Goody, Kate enjoyed a brief relationship with 25-year-old comedian Pete Davidson, shortly after the end of his engagement to pop star Ariana Grande, 26.
She was previously married to film director Len Wiseman, 47.
The couple married in 2004, but Len filed for divorce in 2016, yet it wasn’t finalized until November of last year.
