Kanye West Holds ‘Jesus Is King’ Listening Parties But Album Still Not Out

Kanye West held a third listening party for his upcoming album Jesus Is King in New York on Sunday, but it is still not clear when the album will release after West already ignored two release dates.

Jesus Is King, West’s gospel-inspired ninth album, was originally scheduled drop on Friday, September 27, according to social media and his official website. However, the album did not arrive on the date.

Later, West’s wife, Kim Kardashian West, said in an Instagram post the LP would arrive on Sunday, September 29. The album missed the second date as well.

After missing its two scheduled release dates, fans have no idea when they will be able lay their hands on the LP.

West hosted a listening party for Jesus Is King: A Kanye West Experience Sunday night at the archaic United Palace Theatre.

“New York City is definitely one of my hometowns,” he told the crowd, according to Billboard. “I wasn’t fully saved during Coachella. I came to know the truth and joy of Jesus. This album is an expression of the gospel.”
