Justin Timberlake said he would ‘not be able to fight the urge to write every dirty thing about’ Britney Spears in resurfaced 2006 interview… amid bombshell abortion revelation
Justin Timberlake continues to be plagued by his past behavior involving ex-girlfriend Britney Spears.
On Thursday a 2006 interview resurfaced, in which he spoke not-so-kindly of his former flame.
A Britney fan account on social media platform X dug up an old profile on Timberlake, 42, in which he told journalist Robert Haskell, ‘If I [were] writing an article about her, I would not be able to fight the urge to write every dirty thing about’ the pop star, who is now 41.
Elsewhere in the interview, he said about his ex: ‘I don’t know that person anymore. I’m not sure I knew her before.’
Photos of the boy band singer were shot by Steven Klein and it’s unclear what publication published the story.
It’s the latest bit of information to come up in recent days, as excerpts from Britney’s forthcoming tell-all memoir go viral.

The interview notably took place four years after Timberlake and Spears’ relationship ended.
He had moved on with actress Cameron Diaz, who he had been in a three-year relationship with at the time the story was published, however he still seemed to have bitter feelings toward his ex.
It’s been a rough week for the SexyBack singer — days ago the world found out intimate details about his relationship with the Baby One More Time hitmaker in a published excerpt from her book.
The mother-of-two divulged that she had an abortion during her relationship with Justin when they were 19-years-old.
Spears penned that while she wanted the baby and ‘dreamed of having a family’ with Justin, he ultimately ‘wasn’t ready’ for the responsibilities of fatherhood.
In an excerpt published by People the songstress remembered: ‘It was a surprise, but for me, it wasn’t a tragedy. I loved Justin so much. I always expected us to have a family together one day. This would just be much earlier than I’d anticipated.
‘He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young. I’m sure people will hate me for this, but I agreed not to have the baby.
‘I don’t know if that was the right decision. If it had been left up to me alone, I never would have done it. And yet Justin was so sure that he didn’t want to be a father.’
Cold: Elsewhere in the interview, which was published by an unmarked outlet, he said about his ex: ‘I don’t know that person anymore. I’m not sure I knew her before’

Timberlake also had good things to say about Spears that year. In an interview with CBS he declared about her, ‘I want to see her win. I don’t think you can ever count somebody like her out. Because she may appear one way, but she’s very clever.’
In the time since their breakup, the two superstars have established a friendly rapport.
Back in April 2020, Spears posted a video dancing to the Tennessee native’s song Filthy.
‘I know we had one of the world’s biggest breakups 20 years ago. But hey, the man is a genius! Great song JT!’ she captioned the footage.
Justin responded with a series of emoji — a crying laughing face, and three hand-raising emoticons.
And in a February 2021 Instagram post, Timberlake apologized for his past behavior toward her after the documentary Framing Britney Spears rehashed his post-breakup interviews.
‘I’ve seen the messages, tags, comments and concerns and I want to respond. I am deeply sorry for the times in my life where my actions contributed to the problem, where I spoke out o f turn or did not speak up for what was right,’ he wrote.
Then, in June that year, following Britney’s shock court testimony about her conservatorship, he sent out a message of support and solidarity.

‘After what we saw today, we should all be supporting Britney at this time. Regardless of our past, good and bad, and no matter how long ago it was,’ he wrote in a tweet.
‘What’s happening to her is just not right. No woman should ever be restricted from making decisions about her own body,’ he continued.
‘No one should EVER be held against their will… or ever have to ask permission to access everything they’ve worked so hard for.’
‘Jess and I send our love, and our absolute support to Britney during this time. We hope the courts, and her family make this right and let her live however she wants to live,’ he added in a third tweet, referencing wife Jessica Biel, who he married in 2012.

Britney and Justin met at age 12 on the set of The Disney Channel’s The New Mickey Mouse Club, which aired between 1992-1995.
They reconnected as teenagers as both of their music careers were on the brink of superstardom, and began dating in 1999.
Their relationship ended in 2002, followed by rumors that Britney had cheated on Timberlake… which she confessed to in her memoir, confirming she made out with her choreographer Wade Robson.
Justin penned Cry Me A River about the infidelity, and his solo career skyrocketed with the release of his debut album Justified.
