Victoria’s Secret model Joy Corrigan documents having her breast implants REMOVED – as she reveals it was ‘a huge sense of relief and freedom’
Joy Corrigan made the monumental decision to have her breast implants removed earlier this month, and has now decided to reveal the grueling process behind what is known as ‘explant surgery.’
The former Victoria’s Secret model – who is also a former Sports Illustrated swimsuit star and Playboy Playmate – documented her health journey in a recent video she shared to TikTok and Instagram.
Corrigan, 35, previously said that she was prepared to be open about her decision in an effort to spread awareness about ‘breast implant illness’ and to shed light on the truth of life with implants.
Similarly, last year former race car driver Danica Patrick also documented her breast implant removal, seven years after suffering health issues including hair loss, weight gain and dizziness.
In her recent video, Corrigan thanked the team behind her explant surgery as she showed the various stages of recovery.
‘I was terrified to go into surgery, but as soon as it was done there was a huge sense of relief and freedom, I instantly knew that I made the right choice and I was so glad I trusted my intuition,’ she explained.

And she promised to share more of her journey with her 951k followers.
‘Stay tuned as I post more videos showing you all my journey. THANK YOU to everyone who has sent me love and support in this time, I don’t know what I would do without my family and friends and Ted,’
The Reprisal actress also narrated the video of her breast implant removal.
‘I just got here. Dr. Rankin is about to do my explant,’ she started after showing a calming shot of the ocean crashing onto the beach.

Joy said her boyfriend, tech executive Ted Dhanik, 46, was there and waited outside for her.
‘I’m so grateful for him,’ she said over a shot of the couple hugging before her surgery.
‘The surgery went smooth, everything went great. I was super loopy after and could barely walk, but the whole team took such great care of me,’ she said.
