Jon & Kate Gosselin’s Son Collin ‘Looks Like He’s Been To Hell & Back’ Amid Custody Fight

Jon and Kate Gosselin’s troubled son Collin looks like he’s been to “hell and back” after two years in a treatment facility and his parents’ nasty custody war, a source close to the embattled family exclusively told RadarOnline, com.

According to the insider, who most recently saw the 14-year-old last week at a local Pennsylvania restaurant with his father, Collin has a much more serious demeanor than in past years.

“He wasn’t this happy, full of energy kid I remember,” the insider recalled, adding that Jon, 41, tried to “cheer him up and keep him in good spirits” during the meal.

As Radar first reported, Jon won temporary custody of the boy, who will live with his father and sister Hannah, 14, after he checks out of a medical center for his special needs in the near future.

At the December 4 hearing in Pennsylvania court, Radar exclusively reported Jon appeared “thrilled” with the outcome. Though she was expected to be present in court, Kate was a no-show to the legal proceedings.

The bitter exes, who have been fighting over custody issues since their 2009 divorce, have been in a bitter war over Collin since Jon filed for full custody in October.

“He looks like a kid who has been to hell and back,” the insider said. “I feel like he grew up so fast in the couple of years he’s been away. Hopefully, he gets out soon.”

As Radar exclusively reported, Jon hopes Collin will head home in time for Christmas.

In the meantime, he’s been making frequent visits with his father and Hannah, who has lived with Jon since earlier this year.

“I can definitely tell that he can’t wait to come home,” Jon’s barber and friend Eric Rodriguez told Radar last month after Collin stopped in for a haircut. “I don’t think he really likes the place.”
