Joe Swash: Dancing on Ice pro Alex Murphy speaks out after pair leave hotel hand-in-hand

Dancing on Ice 2020 professional Alex Murphy, 29, has taken to Instagram to gush over Joe Swash, 38, following their shock win against Perri Kiely, 24, and Vanessa Bauer, 23, last weekend. The skater thanked him for supporting her emotionally as she praised him for his hard work.

The Dancing on Ice pro, who is in a relationship, shared a picture of the pair learning the news of their victory on Instagram today.

Alex was seen kneeling down as she clenched her fists together in excitement, while Joe was seen pulling a shocked face.

In view of her 86,000 followers, she wrote: “I’m still in shock. This year has taught me the craziest lesson.

“I always believed in trusting the process, but if I have learned anything this year, it is that fate has a way of bringing people together. Thank you so much @realjoeswashy.”

She added: “There are not enough ways to say thank you for everything you’ve done for me.

“You’ve been the hardest worker, an absolute joy to work with each day, and my emotional support when I’m away from home.

“Thank you for letting us constantly talk about ice skating, for understanding when we were tired and crabby, and for letting us put EVERYTHING we had into this competition.”

Alex went on to say the duo’s win was “more meaningful” after experiencing “all the lows” during their journey together.

She concluded the post thanking their supporters for voting for them, adding: “Thank you so so much.”

Many of the skater’s fans shared a comment on her post, including 2018 winner Jake Quickenden, who wrote: “Congrats Al, I literally told you on the phone trust the process, everything happens for a reason and bang look what happened!!
