Jennifer Lopez is thrilled she is getting Oscar buzz for playing a stripper in Hustlers: ‘It just shows you that dreams come true’
Jennifer Lopez has been acting in films for almost 25 years, ever since she starred in My Family in 1995. Next came Selena then Maid in Manhattan and more recently Second Act.
The 50-year-old star never thought she would garner Oscar buzz, especially for playing a savvy stripper in her most last movie Hustlers. But that is exactly what is happening as awards season heats up.
‘It just shows you that dreams come true,’ the Bronx born beauty told People.

The singer also known as Jenny From The Block was on one of the People of the Year covers along with Taylor Swift, Jennifer Aniston and Michelle Obama.
‘But you have to work at it and not give up. The key is the not giving up part. For me, it’s not a choice. You can’t stop.’
And then there is her Super Bowl half time gig with Shakira.

She also thinks getting engaged to former Yankees star Alex Rodriguez, 44, is a ‘blessing.’

‘I feel more confident and at peace with who I am and more aware of what I bring to the table, but that was a huge journey,’ said Lopez,
But her ‘number one job’ is being mom to twins, Emme and Max, age 11.
