Jane Fonda is on the cover of British Vogue‘s “The Non-Issue,” on newsstands on Friday.
Here’s what the 81-year-old actress had to share with the mag…
On loving having her knee replaced: “I was just starting a new relationship and I had to be able to kneel.”
On her love life: “In order for that to happen, I cannot be in a relationship with a man. I had several serious relationships after [husband Ted Turner], but I can’t…is my failing. I realize I can never overcome it. That when I’m with a man, I give up myself.”
On battling cancer: “I’ve had a lot of cancer. I was a sun-worshipper. When I have a day off, I frequently go to my skin doctor and have things cut off me by a surgeon….[At the 2016 Golden Globes] I get out of the car and I have the strange white dress with all the ruffles? That’s because I’d just had a mastectomy and I had to cover my bandages…It’s an ongoing process. So there’s that.”
