Kaia Gerber knows how to make the Internet’s heart skip a beat.
On her Instagram story yesterday, the 18-year-old model posted a snap of herself in profile, with her belly slightly protruding, while hiding her face behind the book, The One Minute Mother by Spencer Johnson. “Read into this,” she simply wrote onto the photo.
The cryptic post seems to intentionally lead viewers into thinking that she’s pregnant. And if she’s pregnant, does that mean she’s carrying … Pete Davidson‘s kid? She reportedly ended her brief romance with the Saturday Night Live comedian just a few weeks ago.
Still, many people aren’t buying it. In the photo, Gerber also holds a pint of dairy free ice cream, possibly alluding that the only baby in this flick is her food baby. Some on Twitter are also speculating that she’s goading media into writing about her nonsensical post since her life as a model is already highly scrutinized (and, if so, this post would be, uh, kind of meta?).
Earlier this month, E! reported that Gerber and Davidson’s relationship is “cooling off” as he takes time to prioritize his mental health.
“It became very clear that he had to go and do this and couldn’t wait any longer,” an insider told the outlet.
