As one of the UK party scene’s most prolific members, Caroline Flack’s 40th birthday was never going to be a low-key affair.

So naturally, the Love Island star was out on the town in wild style on Friday night as she headed to Mayfair’s Bagatelle restaurant where she was surprised by her boyfriend Lewis Burton, 27, as he gathered all her nearest and dearest.

Instagram was littered with snaps and videos of the party, where she was treated to a personalised bottle of vodka, a magnum of champagne and listened to tracks including 1979’s Escape (The Piña Colada Song) by Rupert Holmes.

Caroline, who recently sparked engagement rumours after coyly hiding her ring finger in a recent snap from a night out, was joined by her dashing toyboy beau Lewis, 27, who held her bag as she entered the party.

The TV star revealed on Instagram the following morning that the party had been a surprise after which she thanked the former tennis player for his efforts.

She shared a video showing her entering the party in her chic mini-dress while Lewis filmed her entrance and held on to her handbag to give her full concentration. 

She added a snap on the video reading: ‘Think I’ll keep you forever Lewis Burton. Thank you all for the most incredible surprise’.

During the evening Lewis poked fun at the couple’s age gap romance, as he shared a clip of Caroline walking into the event with the caption: ‘Happy 90th baby.’ 

Made In Chelsea alum Ashley James shared a series of videos showing the raucous goings on inside the party, where booze was flowing freely.

Caroline was presented with a vast bottle of vodka adorned with her name in light up letters along the body of the magnum of booze. 

She was also given a magnum of champagne which was carried through the party and was poured for the birthday girl and her glitzy guestlist.

Her star-studded party comes after she reflected on the final day of her 30s with a poignant Instagram post.

She penned: ‘Jesus …Last day of my 30s …. and what a ride it’s been so far … feeling so utterly grateful for EVERYTHING in my life right now … and never felt quite so happy as I do today… Can’t WAIT for this weekend and 40 isn’t old if you’re a tree’.

A representative for the star has denied the speculations, stating: ‘Caroline is 100% not engaged.’
