Throwback: Holly Willoughby shared a throwback snap from a time before she started dying her now trademark platinum blonde tresses (pictured on Thursday)
In the snap she has her right thumb resting on the waistline of an exuberant pair of red trousers as she poses in front of a red wall.
She’s wearing a green polo-neck jumper in the artsy picture, which was taken when she was just a teenager.
Holly captioned the post: ‘Once upon a time in a land before blonde..’
The television personality has always been known to have glamorous blonde tresses, so her followers were shocked at the change.
Fans were divided on which look they preferred, penning: ‘Stay blonde holly please.’ Ohhhh love that colour on you!! [flame emoji].’ ‘A vote for back to Brunette.’

It comes after Holly admitted it wasn’t love at first sight when she met her husband Dan Baldwin on the set of Saturday Showdown during her days of presenting children’s television.
In fact, she revealed she thought he was a ‘d***head’.
Speaking to Keith Lemon on his Christmas Shopping special, Holly said she initially thought Dan was arrogant because of his past working for MTV.
Offering a rare insight into the early days of their relationship, Holly told Keith that it took a long time for her and Dan to become ‘really good friends’.
She said: ‘Dan was there as a new producer and I thought, ”oh my God, I’m gonna hate this guy”.’
Surprising: Holly revealed that she thought her husband Dan was a ‘d***head’ when they first met (pictured together in September)
When asked if she fancied Dan from the start, the star said: ‘No, not at all and he’d come from MTV and he was very cool for school. He looked at me like I was this wally of a person.
‘I thought, “Oh my God he hates me, he just thinks he’s really cool.”‘
As Keith asked: ‘You thought, ”he’s a d***head?”,’ Holly replied: ‘A little bit,’ before they laughed off the moment.
Playful: The This Morning presenter admitted when she first met Dan, she thought he was ‘too cool for school,’ but added that she assumed he thought she was a ‘wally’ (pictured in 2009)
She added: ‘Then we became really good friends. We were in the bar and we cheers-ed in regards to champagne and I looked at him and it was like, ”Oh my God, I fancy him”.’
‘In that second I just knew, it was like a little sparkle.’
Holly and Dan have now been happily married for 12 years, and have sons Harry, ten, and Chester, five, and daughter Belle, eight.
During the TV special, Holly also spoke about her friendship with This Morning co-host Phillip Schofield, amid claims the pair are embroiled in a ‘feud.’
Hilarious: Holly gave a rare insight into her marriage during an appearance on Shopping With Keith Lemon’s Christmas Special
Highlighting their close bond, Holly shared: ‘If he left This Morning… well we’ve always said from the beginning that if either of us left then we wouldn’t want to do it as I can’t imagine This Morning without Phil, it’s us together!’
Earlier this month, Phillip was accused of creating a ‘toxic atmosphere’ for his This Morning co-stars, with allegations of ongoing spats with Holly and stand-in hosts Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes.
It is claimed eight different ITV presenters have broken their silence regarding Phillip’s attitude, according to The Sun.
Cheeky: As Keith asked: ‘You thought, ”he’s a d**khead?”,’ Holly replied: ‘A little bit,’ before they laughed off the moment
Hitting back at the reports, a spokesperson for ITV said: ‘It’s deeply disappointing and unfair for Phillip to be the target of this sort of malicious gossip.
‘Phillip is a much respected broadcaster and colleague and this is absolutely not a description of This Morning that we recognise.
‘Holly and Phil are great friends both on and off screen and are popular among viewers and colleagues alike.’
