Gwyneth Paltrow paid a visit to Late Night With Seth Meyers on Wednesday evening (January 22) and spilled some behind the scenes secrets from Goop.
The goop businesswoman promoted her Netflix show The Goop Lab and revealed the thought process behind one of her lifestyle company’s most infamous new products – the sold out This Smells Like My Vagina candle.
“It’s a candle, it’s called This Smells Like My Vagina. It sort of started as a joke,” Gwyneth admitted to Seth. “We were kind of messing around and I smelled this beautiful thing and I was like, ‘this smells like my vagina.’ I was kidding, obviously. It was really funny to us, but also a little bit punk rock. I think women, a lot of us, have grown up feeling certain degrees of shame around our bodies or whatever. So this is a little bit of a subversive candle for all of us out there.”
Gwyneth also talked about why she started Goop, picking subjects to explore on The Goop Lab and Goop’s collaboration with Celebrity Cruises.
