PICTURE EXCLUSIVE: Hugh Jackman is back as Wolverine! Australian star, 54, films first Deadpool 3 scenes with Ryan Reynolds as they shoot epic fight scene on UK beach
Hugh Jackman has been spotted filming his first scenes for his anticipated role in Deadpool 3 alongside Ryan Reynolds.
The Australian star is reprising his role as Wolverine in the upcoming sequel after last playing the role in 2017’s Logan.
Filming took place on a UK beach on Monday as the two Hollywood hunks shot an epic fight scene in their iconic Marvel character costumes.
Hugh, 54, was back in his yellow Wolverine costume as he was seen grappling with Ryan, 46, who at one point was dangling from a high wire.
It appears that production for the third Deadpool film has been relocated to the UK so Ryan can manage his commitments with his team Wrexham FC, who were promoted back to the English Football League in April.

In the third film, Deadpool will use Cable’s time travel machine to save Wolverine before his death in 2029 and they will end up lost in the Multiverse.
While they are in the Multiverse they will be pursued by Mobius, who has access to time-travel technology.
Among those set to star in the film is The Crown’s Emma Corrin, who will play a villain in the blockbuster.
Ryan tweeted: ‘New addition to the family! The Deadpool family, for clarity. Which is just like a real family except with less swearing… Welcome, Emma Corrin!’
He previously confirmed the Deadpool 3 film premiere date as September 6, 2024.
The day after Ryan announced that Hugh would return as the late Wolverine in Deadpool 3 last year, the pair sat down for a faux fan Q&A.
‘I had a lot of questions. I’m sure you had a lot of questions. But rest assured, we’re going to answer them right now,’ Hugh promised.
‘Like, for example, how is Wolverine alive after Logan?’

Logan’s mutant daughter Laura and the other Transigen children then buried him beneath a wooden X to honour his time with the X-Men.

Hugh has played the Marvel character Wolverine in eight X-Men films from 2000 until 2016, and was last seen in the role in standalone movie Logan in 2017.
He made a brief appearance in the second Deadpool instalment, but had previously ruled out the chance of a crossover film between his character and Reynolds’ unlikely superhero.
The surprise announcement was made by the pair in September last year, with Reynolds later assuring fans that the project was being undertaken in a ‘Hugh Jackman approved’ way.
