Emmerdale actor Thomas Atkinson was robbed at knifepoint during a getaway to Paris.
Thomas, who plays murderer Lachlan White in the ITV soap, said he had his phone stolen while sightseeing.
Sharing a picture of the Eiffel Tower, he wrote next to it: "Last shot before I had a knife pulled on me and phone stolen.
"Thank you, Paris. Nice to know I was welcome."
Concerned fans sent their well wishes to the actor, with one writing: "Hope you are ok and stay safe!
A second said: "So sorry to hear that Tom, at least you seem to be taking it in your stride!"
Responding, he said he was "fine" but losing a phone had created a few issues.
"For anyone asking, Im fine. found it quite amusing tbh. Being stuck in a foreign country with no phone was an experience to say the least."
The 19-year-old had posted a series of pictures from the City of Love before the mugging, including other shots of the Eiffel Tower and kids playing in the street.
The actor appeared on Good Morning Britain earlier this month to discuss his character, whose kill count has racked up to four after killing his grandfather, mum, best friend Gerry and fake uncle Terry.
Thomas said: "He’s going to get a lot darker, which some of the audience might not like but for me it’s fun anyway.
"It’s going to be quite interesting. It’s a bit weird but yeah I think I would [like Lachlan to kill again].
"For me as an actor it’s interesting to do, so how can I not want that?"
When asked whether he suffered any abuse for playing Lachlan, he admitted that he did receive a bit of unwanted attention from elderly ladies when he was out and about.
He said: "Old ladies sometime touch my bum and say ‘you’re a naughty boy aren’t you’ as I walk through the Trafford Centre."
