Eminem on Thursday night made a surprise release of his new album, Kamikaze, which is highly critical of President Donald Trump.
In the first track, “The Ringer,” Eminem claims that after his attack on Trump last year, he sent the Secret Service, “To see if I really think of hurting him / Or ask if I’m linked to terrorists.”
“I empathize with the people this evil serpent sold the dream to that he’s deserted,” he says of the billionaire-turned politician.
Eminem, a known critic of the President, refers to him in the song as “Agent Orange.”
Across its 45 minute run, Eminem also targets Harvey Weinstein, Vice President Mike Pence, the Grammy Awards, the press, and Tyler, the Creator.
Kamikaze, the Detroit rapper’s tenth studio album, consists of 13 tracks.
Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, announced the release of the album on Twitter. An album poster featuring the rear end of a fighter plane with the tail marker “FU-2,” and the head photo-shopped as a shark, accompanies the caption: “tried not to over-think this one.”
Executive-produced by Dr. Dre and Eminem, Kamikaze is available on various digital platforms such as Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon and iTunes.
