EJ Johnson of Rich Kids Of Beverly Hills fame celebrated his 27th birthday on Tuesday night at Craig’s in West Hollywood.
The son of basketball legend Magic Johnson strutted from his black Lamborghini to the trendy eatery wearing a stunning Balenciaga aqua mini dress and carrying a turquoise purse.
The outfit was considerably conservative compared to the looks EJ has been known to serve. Since undergoing gastric sleeve surgery in 2014 and dropping 100 pounds, the gender-defying fashionista has felt empowered to express his style and show some skin.

EJ recently discussed his gender identity on E! News’ Just The Sip with host Justin Sylvester.
Although EJ has long been out as gay, his gender fluid style has led many to speculate he’s transgender. But he has no plans to transition and is still discovering his gender.

He told Sylvester: ‘I like myself the way that I am. I’m very happy with myself.
‘I always say that if you feel like you’re not in the right body, then, by all means, get to where you want to be. I don’t feel that I’m in the wrong body. I feel like this is the body I’m supposed to be in.
‘I don’t feel the need to transition. I’m almost 100 percent positive I won’t. I’m just very comfortable in my own skin. I just like my body.’
Last year, EJ and his mother Cookie Johnson appeared on an episode of Red Table Talk with actress Jada Pinkett Smith, her musician daughter Willow Smith and her mother Adrienne Banfield Norris.

During the episode, Cookie opened up about EJ’s coming out. Although she was immediately supportive, his dad was a different story.
Cookie said: ‘My husband is the type of person, he reacts quickly, so everything that came to the top of his head, he just let it out.
‘And I was like, it hurt my feelings and I know it probably hurt his feelings when he’d go, “It’s not what I wanted for my son and do you realize what you’re saying because the world is not going to like that and do you want to live this life?”‘

After EJ moved to New York, Magic came around. EJ recalls a moment when his dad was visiting that he finally felt accepted.
The star said: ‘He hugged me so hard, he almost broke my back and then at that point I was like, we’re gonna be okay. I could really feel the love. We’re gonna be fine.’
Johnson was first introduced to the world on Rich Kids Of Beverly Hills, a reality TV series that ran from 2014 to 2016 on E! It followed a group of young people from rich families as they tried to forge their own paths.
