Dierks Bentley will headline the Ralph and Carter Stanley tribute show at the Country Music Hall of Fame on October 24.
The line-up of performers at the CMA Theater include Stanley’s son Ralph Stanley II, the Gibson Brothers, Travelin’ McCourys, Sierra Hull and Justin Moses.
The concert marks the opening of a new exhibition titled “Ralph Stanley: Voice from on High” at the Country Music Hall of Fame museum, which spotlights the bluegrass icon.
Ralph Stanley, who started his career in the 1940s, performed with his brother Carter for 20 years until the latter’s death in 1966.
The Clinch Mountain Boys frontman for 50 years, “Dr. Ralph” died in 2016 at age 89.
Dierks Bentley pays homage to the bluegrass that influenced him as a young, aspiring musician in his 2010 passion project Up on the Ridge.
