Diddy has revealed his ‘thinking had to change’ when he became a single father of six following the tragic death of his ex partner Kim Porter.
Kim tragically passed away from ‘pneumonia-related complications’ aged 47 on November 15 2018, with the former couple parents to sons Quincy, 28, Christian, 22, and twin girls D’Lila Star and Jessie James, 13.
Speaking on Naomi Campbell’s YouTube channel for her No Filter With Naomi series, the rapper, 50, who is also father to son Justin, 27, with designer Misa Hylton-Brim and daughter Chance, 14, with Sarah Chapman – opened up about life as a family without his soulmate.

He said: ‘We’re really focused on our plan after this. Taking time to really ask the girls and ask the kids really what they want to do.
‘We formed a company called Combs Cartel, which is our family business and a lot of their projects will go underneath that.
‘But, we’re trying to really just plan and see what we want to take to the next step as a family. Because losing Kim and now being a single father-of-six, my thinking had to change.
‘I had to really get focused on their futures, ’cause I know how rough it is out there.’

The billionaire star added that his children were excited to be part of the family business, saying: ‘They’re now ready to step up and be leaders and so it’s really about that,
‘It’s really about what are the goals we’re going to set for what we’re going to do to come out of this better and stronger.
‘And have more of an impact and change the narrative of the black family and the black man and woman globally as being fearless, and being intelligent and also not taking no shorts.
‘Getting what we deserve and doing positive things with our power.’
Kim was Diddy’s on-off girlfriend for several years, with the pair dating from around 1994 to 2007.

The couple welcomed three children together with Diddy, real name Sean Combs, adopting Quincy, who is the biological son of Al B. Sure!
In January Diddy paid tribute to his late ex Kim with an emotional Instagram post.
The rapper shared a snap of the actress and model alongside a heartbreaking caption urging fans to ‘honor’ and ‘cherish’ the ‘good woman’ in their life – before it’s too late.
Sharing a beautiful picture of his ex, he wrote: ‘If you got a good woman please let her know. Tell her as soon as you can. Make sure she knows. Make sure she feels it.
‘HONOR HER. CHERISH HER. Cause the special ones are RARE and FEW. And everyone doesn’t get a second chance.

Last year, Diddy was missing Kim when he shared an image of a giant broken heart emoji, simply captioned ‘KP.’
The I Need A Girl rapper – whose real name is Sean Combs – recently opened up about some of the final things Kim said to him during an interview with Essence.

Heartbroken: Last year, Diddy was missing Kim when he shared an image of a giant broken heart emoji, simply captioned ‘KP.
Three days before her tragic passing, Diddy revealed Kim had been sick with the flu and ‘sent the kids over to my house so they wouldn’t get sick.’
He recalled Kim saying to him one night: ”Puffy, take care of my babies’. She actually said that to me before she died.’
The hip-hop star said he went into ‘mommy mode’ after Porter’s death, trying desperately to make sure the kids wouldn’t hear about it online or on the news.
‘Every time Kim and I talked, it was about the kids,’ Combs said. ‘It was what she cared about the most.
