Escape to the Chateau stars Dick and Angel Strawbridge almost DOUBLE their income by earning £1.44million in 12-months – despite Channel 4 axing show amid claims of bullying
Escape to the Chateau stars Dick and Angel Strawbridge made £670,000 in the last year of filming their Channel 4 reality show – almost doubling their fortune.
New figures show that reserves in the companies which channel the couple’s earnings hit £1.44million in the 12 months to the end of September last year – up from £777,000 the previous year.
TShirt Patisserie Limited, controlled by the couple, was the biggest winner – rocketing in value from £270,000 to £688,000, while Chateau Television’s value went up from £50,000 to £286,000, and Jera Enterprises was boosted by £13,500 to £470,500.
Earlier this year it was revealed that Channel 4 had pulled the plug on their show which aired its ninth and final series in late 2022.
Dick and Angel control the three companies via a fourth company which owns the shares.

Chateau Television and Jera Enterprises are the couple’s TV production firm, while TShirt Patisserie Limited channels income from ‘retail sale of new goods in specialised stores’.
In May Channel 4 cut ties with Escape To The Chateau stars Dick and Angel Strawbridge following an independent investigation reportedly into their conduct.
The TV channel said they will no longer work with Dick, 63, and Angel, 45 – who had been branded ‘spiky and volatile’ – on any new productions ‘following a review’.
A Channel 4 spokesman told MailOnline: ‘Following a review, we have taken the decision not to work with Dick and Angel on any new productions in the future.’
The TV production company which makes the show for Channel 4, Two Rivers, added: ‘We can confirm that we will no longer work with Dick and Angel and cannot comment further at the moment.’
The series turned the couple into household names as 2.5million viewers regularly turned in to see the renovation of their 19th-Century Château de la Motte-Husson in Martigné-sur-Mayenne, France.
It was previously made by production firm Spark Media Partners, who oversaw the first four series from 2016 to 2018. But it also allegedly cut ties with the Strawbridges due to a feud.
A representative for Channel 4 said: ‘Channel 4 is taking an active role in challenging unacceptable behaviour in our industry.
Treading the boards: It was recently announced that they are embarking on a 33-date UK theatre tour, Dick and Angel – Forever Home (Avec Le Nitty Gritty)
New venture: Escape To The Chateau stars Dick and Angel have also announced a new book launch after their shock axing from Channel 4
‘Following a review of our processes in 2021 we have made it easier to raise complaints both formally and informally.
‘We require all our production partners to follow our Supplier Code of Conduct and when concerns are raised with us, they will be taken seriously and action will happen to ensure they are investigated and addressed appropriately.
‘There is always more to do and alongside our suppliers we are committed to building safe, inclusive and professional working environments.’
The couple said they plan to take their show on the road with a 33-date UK theatre tour next year called Dick and Angel – Forever Home (Avec Le Nitty Gritty).
They also announced a new book launch after their axing from Channel 4 and revealed they plan to host two intimate evenings at The Bristol Hippodrome and The London Barbican in October.
