EXCLUSIVE Dance Moms’ Abby Lee Miller DOUBLES DOWN on harsh criticism of Taylor Swift’s dancing – declaring Travis Kelce is ‘much better’ – as she jokes singer should have taken lessons as a kid instead of being ‘slumped over a guitar’
- Discussing Swift’s abilities on her podcast, Miller stated: ‘Taylor is pigeon-toed’
- The Dance Moms star had nothing but praise for Swift’s boyfriend Travis Kelce
- TV star first made public comments about the hitmaker’s dancing in 2014
Dance Moms star Abby Lee Miller has slammed Taylor Swift’s dancing once again, claiming the ‘pigeon-toed’ superstar isn’t as good as her boyfriend Travis Kelce, who she dubbed a ‘natural.’
The football star’s famous dance moves on the field have earned Miller’s seal of approval – but the controversial TV star, 58, believes it is too late for Taylor to improve.
‘Taylor Swift is pigeon-toed… and her boyfriend’s a much better dancer – we can leave it at that,’ she said during a conversation with Crystal Hefner on her Leave It On The Dance Floor podcast, adding of Travis: ‘He’s a great dancer.’
When asked how the Love Story singer could fix this apparent issue, Miller answered: ‘It’s too late. I don’t think she’s worried about it. I don’t think that’s her top priority right now.’

The controversial reality star, 58, claimed that the Love Story hitmaker, 33, is ‘pigeon-toed’ and said it was ‘too late’ to fix her dancing issues
Miller was happy to praise Travis Kelce, 34, as she said: ‘Her boyfriend’s a much better dancer – we can leave it at that. He’s a great dancer’
She continued: ‘I think she does probably think she should have danced as a kid.
‘They had her slumped over that guitar playing, and the keyboard. I loved her music then, that’s the Taylor Swift that I fell in love with.’
She also added to DailyMail.com: ‘I’ve seen clips of Travis dancing it up both on the field and off. I think he’s a natural.
‘Most football players like to show off – he’s a showman with swagger at heart.’
It is not the first time the TV star has criticized Swift’s dancing. In April, she said: ‘Let’s talk about the feet. Taylor, she’s pigeon-toed. She’s turned in. So she is doing all the choreography, all this pop stuff and it’s so awkward.
‘I love her singing but I liked it when she was just hunched over a guitar, playing it while singing in a chair. This whole popstar, dancer-singer-actress thing, it ain’t her.’
Known primarily for her role as the acerbic head dance instructor of the Abby Lee Dance Company, the choreographer appeared on eight seasons of Lifetime’s hit, Dance Moms.
She later went on to star in a series of related spinoffs including Dance Moms: Abby’s Studio Rescue and Dance Moms: Miami.
Miller explained that Swift’s alleged lack in skill was due to the fact she must not have taken dance classes as a child

Miller was the acerbic head dance instructor of the Abby Lee Dance Company, and appeared on Lifetime’s hit series Dance Moms
She also penned her own memoir in 2014 titled, Everything I Learned about Life, I Learned in Dance Class.
Elsewhere, Miller, who is involved in the charity Caterina’s Clun and Dancers Against Cancer, first appeared to make public comments about the hitmaker’s dancing in 2014, when she shared her issues with Swift’s Shake It Off music video.
She told E! News at the time: ‘She should have had the Abby Lee Miller Treatment as a child. The dancers are wonderful.
‘I love Taylor Swift—I think she’s a great role model for the girls—but I like her sitting in a chair with her guitar, singing.’
Miller’s latest comments come as Swift addressed her struggles with learning choreography.
Speaking to TIME magazine on being unveiled as its Person of the Year for 2023, she said she had three months of dance training to ‘get it in my bones,’ ahead of her record-breaking Eras world tour.
‘I wanted to be so over-rehearsed that I could be silly with the fans, and not lose my train of thought,’ she said before adding: ‘Learning choreography is not my strong suit.’
Swift is currently on a break from the mammoth worldwide tour, which is on track to make ‘a projected gross of $2.2 billion in North American ticket sales alone,’ according to TIME.
The outlet reported that industry analysts said that the performer’s lucrative tour should surpass $1 billion in revenue by March of 2024, when Swift is slated to be overseas.

The numbers would give the Shake It Off singer the most-profitable tour ever, surpassing the $939 million Elton John made on his The Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour.
Swift’s new man Kelce was on hand to support her during the Argentina leg, with the pair filmed hugging as she came off stage.
On Wednesday she confirmed that the power couple began their love story long before she made headlines when she attended one of his games back in September.
In the months since kickstarting her romance with the two-time Super Bowl champion, Swift has attended five of his NFL games.
