Carragher heard mocking Gary Neville by referencing very embarrassing moment

Jamie Carragher never misses a chance to have a cheeky pop at Gary Neville.

And it was no different tonight despite the Liverpool legend working as a pundit on the Croatia vs England game.

Carragher reminded the audience of one of Neville’s most embarrassing moments in his career against England’s opponents tonight.

The Three Lions went down 2-0 to Croatia back in 2006 with the pitch blamed at the time.

The turf in Rijeka on Friday was highlighted in the build-up, with Carragher referencing that ‘very famous’ Neville own-goal; a back-pass that alluded Paul Robinson.

Sky Sports presenter Dave Jones said : "England should be very mindful of scoring any own goals, we don’t want any bobbles like last time you were here Jamie, do we?"

Carragher replied: "There’s only one man [Neville] who has ever done that. Very famous."

Gareth Southgate’s side are looking to gain revenge after going down to Croatia in Russia to end their World Cup hopes at the semi-final stage.

The game will go a long way to deciding who is relegated in their UEFA Nations League group with Spain.
