The intimate service will be followed by a much larger celebration of the Smokey and the Bandit star’s life, which will be open to the public.
As RadarOnline.com exclusively reported, Reynolds’ former girlfriend Ann Scurry, 82, said his family plans to scatter his ashes at sea.
Scurry told Radar of Reynolds: “We were good friends, we still went for lunch together regularly. He was the love of my life.
“[I was married but] he was lonely. He used to call at all hours of the night. We’d talk for hours.”
“Burt was ready to go. He had become very frail.”
“Even when we weren’t together he was always still back there. Even years later, I’d hear his name and my heart would beat faster.”
