Jonathan won out against dance act Libby and Charlie after Simon Cowell avoided picking who to win, sending the result to deadlock and leaving the death-defying daredevil earning his spot after winning the public vote.

Once they finished, Amanda had high praise as he said: ‘Just extraordinary, obviously you’re doing something so clever, You create the most brilliant atmosphere, my god, I want to see more from you.’

While David Walliams admitted that X made other magicians look ‘pretty old-fashioned’ thanks to their ‘completely original and modern’ act.

Meanwhile Jonathan put on an intense, heart-pounding act that took his death-defying tricks to a new level after he played ‘blindfold chicken’ with crossbows.
Remarkably the daredevil came out unscathed after moving out of the way of the arrows in the nick of time, just by listening carefully to the water timers.
Amazed by his act, Simon teased: ‘Part of me is thinking I don’t want you in the finals, genuinely I mean I hadn’t seen this in rehearsals and if I had I would have said you’re nuts, so respect.’
What a save: Jonathan used a picture of David to stop the final arrow from piercing his body, and after he finished he jubilantly said that ‘David saved [his] life’
While David went on: ‘Apart from it being obviously incredibly dangerous, it’s also so inventive. Absolutely brilliant.’
Alesha Dixon went on: ‘I mean you’re just crazy, but absolute genius at the same time, [it was] so hard to watch, I don’t normally like this act, but amazing.’
