Nearly four decades after releasing their smash hit “Heart of Glass,” Blondie is preparing to release a six-song EP entitled BLONDIE: Heart of Glass.
It took four years of hard work producing the limited edition “Heart Of Glass” EP, featuring six different versions of the band’s 1979 landmark pop-dance smash.
The EP will be released on October 26 via USM.
It comes as a prelude to Blondie box set, BLONDIE: The Complete Studio Recordings 1975-1982, which will be released next year.
Blondie guitarist Chris Stein said in a statement that “‘Heart of Glass’ was one of the first songs Blondie wrote, but it was years before we recorded it properly.” “We’d tried it as a ballad, as reggae, but it never quite worked. At that point, it had no title. We just called it ‘The Disco Song,'” Stein added.
