Titfer, smoker, jogger, spy! TV’s favourite detective Sherlock Holmes turns MI6 man for a new spy movie being filmed in London.
Actor Benedict Cumberbatch sported a 60s trilby hat and a pencil moustache to play Greville Wynne in Ironbark – the true story of the man who helped avert the Cuban missile crisis.
Dapper Brit Wynne penetrated the Soviet atomic programme but was later arrested and jailed in Moscow in 1963.
He served two years before being swapped for a Russian agent.
The Cold War drama is due for release next year – and it certainly did look cold as Benedict, 42, shivered in jogging kit and sheltered from the elementaries under a brolly.
As well as starring in a new role, he will also be taking on a new family role too. Benedict’s wife, Sophie Hunter, 40, showed off a very small baby bump at the Emmy Awards last month.
The theatre and opera director looked glowing in a billowing, loose-fitting yellow dress, which largely covered her growing bump.
Sophie’s pregnancy was clearly visible as she was spotted resting with her arms on her belly at the post-Emmys Governors Ball later that evening, according to People.com.
Benedict, 42, had been nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series of Movie for Patrick Melrose, but lost out to Darren Criss for The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story.
Although her due date is yet to be revealed, the baby will be their third child in just four years.
The couple started publicly dating in spring 2014 after knowing each other as friends for some time previously.
