As Ariana Grande‘s tumultuous year continues, she’s choosing to look back on the good times.
The “Sweetener” singer, 25, shared an old video on her Instagram story of ex-boyfriend Mac Miller getting dressed for the Oscars alongside Grande’s mom, Joan, and her grandmother, Nonna. In the video, Miller, who died of an apparent drug overdose nearly two months ago, has his tuxedo jacket sleeve fixed while watching an Elton John interview on TV.
“I should’ve worn that for the night,” Miller says, referencing the iconic singer’s statement ensemble.
Unaware that Grande was recording the moment, Miller turns to her and starts to laugh once he realizes it.
Grande didn’t add a caption to the video; instead, she simply added a heart over the late rapper’s arm.
The former couple attended Madonna’s Oscars afterparty that night, which turned out to be their last public outing together before their split a few months later in May 2017.
Grande’s video comes over a week after she and Pete Davidson ended their engagement. Insiders said Miller’s passing was the final straw for their relationship.
