A fitting tribute!
As we reported earlier this month, Aretha Franklin passed away at her home in Detroit “due to advanced pancreatic cancer of the neuroendocrine type.” She was 76.
On Friday, the legendary singer will be laid to rest in Michigan’s largest city, and the ceremony is going to be EPIC!
According to the official program obtained by WDIV4, the funeral will begin at 9:30 a.m., and is scheduled to end at 3 p.m… though we wouldn’t be surprised if it runs longer.
Performers include Faith Hill, Ariana Grande, The Clark Sisters, Edward Franklin, Chaka Khan, Ron Isley, Fantasia, Jennifer Hudson, Stevie Wonder, and Jennifer Holliday.
Speakers include Bill Clinton, Reverend Al Sharpton, Reverend Jesse Jackson, Tyler Perry, Cicely Tyson, Clive Davis, and Smokey Robinson.
