Amy Roloff Pays Tribute to Late Mother, Moves Us to Tears

Amy Roloff laid her mother to rest over the weekend.

As previously detailed, the funeral of this reality star’s mother, Patricia, was attended by all of her family members and loved ones, with grandson Jeremy keeping followers apprised via this gallery of photos.

Patricia passed away on September 24 following several weeks of being sick, a tragic situation about which Amy wrote many times on Instagram.

She formerly shared a throwback photo and lovely message to her late parent.

Now, meanwhile, the Little People, Big World star has once again paid tribute to Patricia, posting the above picture (of herself, her fiance and her dad) and writing as a caption:

“This weekend, my family came together to celebrate my Mom’s life.

“I say celebrate, because though I mourn and am sad she is not here anymore, my heart knows she is w/ the Lord.”

Roloff then continued in this same bittersweet and beautiful fashion.

“And that changes everything when faith is there. And her faith, her Christian walk and life were examples for me during my growing up life,” wrote Amy.

This very sad event took place not long after a very happy event in Amy’s life:

She recently got engaged to Chris Marek, accepting his proposal on the three-year anniversary of the couple’s first date.

Pretty romantic, right? And pretty unfortunate that this engagement was followed up by having to bury’s one parent.

Added Amy in her lengthy caption:

Her life wasn’t perfect but she gave her all to my Dad, myself and my siblings because she loved her family.

I really didn’t have the opportunity to know my Mom well, on an everyday basis as an adult – because I got married and moved from Michigan to California, then OR and there raised my family.

My time with her were visits to Michigan and I tried to soak up every moment and story with her as I could.

And that’s the only thing any of can do, isn’t it?

Amy — who will also get to meet a new granddaughter in November and new grandson in January — concluded her message on an inspiring note.

As we continue to send her our condolences, we’ll end on Roloff’s emotional and honest note:

This weekend was about family and friends sharing even more stories and I received an amazing gift. I got to see and know my Mom even more. She was and is an amazing wonderful, sometimes complex, giving compassionate loving beautiful woman and Mom.

I cried and mourned this weekend but I also celebrated her, my Mom. I was surrounded by love with Chris, my kids and family and that is a treasure. I’m honored to be her daughter.

And I will continue to do my best to live and love in my life the best I can. She’s with the Lord now and though my heart is sad, her life and faith is my legacy I still have as my example for my own.

Thank you Mom. I love you, forever and always.
