Three major supermarkets – Asda, Sainsbury’s and Tesco – have been forced to recall tinned food items manufactured by the Princes Group.
A statement released by the Food Standards Agency (FSA) on Thursday, December 14 read: “Princes Group is recalling several canned bean products because they may contain small rubber balls, making them unsafe to eat.”
The company has also issued a recall notice to its customers urging them to avoid eating the affected batches and instead, return them to the store where they were purchased.
Baked beans in tomato sauce, baked beans and pork sausages in tomato sauce, and mixed bean salad have all been affected by possible contamination.
Leading condiments brand Branston has also recalled one batch of baked beans for the same reason.

Asda
Asda sells various tinned products by Princes Group which have been affected by the recall.
